Golden Trout

One of the most beautiful and colorful trout known to mankind.

California Golden Trout (native)

The California golden trout (also known as Volcano Creek golden trout and designated by the Legislature as the State Fish) are in the most precarious position of the three golden trout. They are found in Golden Trout Creek, a tributary to the Kern River, and the South Fork Kern River, which empties into Lake Isabella.
Until recently, we believed these fish were secure. The Department has used California golden trout in Cottonwood Lakes as a source for eggs since 1918. It was believed the offspring of these fish had been spread around the southern Sierra Nevada in more than 300 lakes and 700 miles of stream. Recently, it was determined that these fish are hybridized with rainbow trout and that the offspring are not genetically pure fish. While this may be satisfactory for management purposes, it was devastating from a species preservation point of view.

Reminiscing the good old days...

Though he is unable to hike into these wilderness before him,

he is still able to breath the air that surrounds him,

even at this stage of his life.

He told me that he used to hike this area

very often (when he was a younger man).

I'll be sitting on that walker, on that exact spot

not too distant from now...

Vibrant is all I can say...

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

and

MERCED RIVER, FLY FISHING

Words in my mind just can not adequately describe what Y.N.P is.

I often wondered if any other visitors can describe what Y.N.P is.

Sheer enormity of this wondrous place can be viewed and enjoyed in so many ways.
But life is so short that we may not be able enjoy what Y.N.P has to offer.

Y.N.P has been and always will be my favorite place to unload my worries and troubles.

I'm certain that many visitors will concur with my assessment of this magnificent place.

I'll let my photographs to take the responsibility of describing

what Y.N.P is (from my eye views) but I highly doubt that it will do justice...

Just immerse yourself and imagine that you're standing in smack dab in the

(Merced River, Near Yosemite National Park, California)

middle of Y.N.P well known sights as well as not so well known sights.

Close your eyes and imagine that you're floating (drifting) on clear cold Merced river.

Bright orange sun light is lighting up the evening sky,

just before it drowns itself beyond the horizon,

A surfer sprays his gnarly move into cooperating wave.

"Timing is everything" someone said once.

Memories...Often forgotten...

Stumbled upon a memorial service during my walk today.

I was in the outskirts of this memorial service watching many people with

candles lit in their hands and holding our American flag that symbolizes our

freedom we so cherish.

His name was Jake, A proud American Marine.

Yes, his name WAS Jake, that was his name...

Yes, he is under our flag tonight, He served his country under the waving flag and now

he will remain under our flag as he lays silently...

So many thoughts crossed my mind today, when so many people gathered

to say good bye to Jake and to say good bye to our proud American soldier!

Though I may never know his face but in my heart lies another American soldier,

joining those who had sacrificed before him.

Buried but not forgotten what they stood for.

Our flag was waving gracefully at the top of stretched out fire engine's ladder.

At dusk, spot light lit up the old glory like it had for many many years past.

Through the turmoils and happiness, it has seen so many sacrifices in their paths.

Thought about many Marines and other servicemen and women

of our great nation today, Especially those I never knew

their faces, but in my heart there they stood,

under the waiving old glory, young and old.

Puddling around all day long with many

Life slips us a cocktail that

has sorrow and happiness,

mixed in with frosty cold reality check.

Symptoms of our true reflections, spewing

Freshly fallen snow...New page in my heart begins...

Brand new morning, begins with freshly fallen snow's

greeting at the window sill.

Gazing at the falling snow through the foggy glass window.

Then it becomes clear, pristine drops of crystals of water

that ever so softly blankets the landscape.

Time stood still, but mind wanders

ever so slowly without any hesitation..

My haste gesture to capture the moment and

captioning the moment became impossible.

Surrounded by many colors of the Rocky Mountain's full attire,

added with freshly fallen snow of white...

So grandeur and breathtaking.

With each careful foot steps that I took

left perfect impressions of my foot steps,

sadden by my depressions I left behind but

it was only for a moment.

Life goes on.

It is a certainty that the color of white will blanket

my heart and mind again ever so softly.

I invite you to visit your own heart and mind that has been

covered with freshly fallen snow...

First Love

We seldom apply our emotional feelings toward NATURE.

Well captured photograph can and will kinder our love for NATURE.

But there is no comparison to what nature is willing to teach us

in and around their own environment, only if we let it...

Being surrounded by freshly fallen pristine snow, soft breeze to

destructive wind, and the aroma of what NATURE provides,

NATURE certainly can and will break our hardened hearts

and spirits into many fragments...

Love for NATURE is only obvious only if we preserve it as such.
